Minor White (Minneapolis, 1908–1976) was a key figure in 20th-century American photography, both for his innovative work and for his teaching and co-founding role in Aperture magazine. He developed a highly personal photographic language, structured in sequences, unparalleled in the history of photography. This exhibition, the first retrospective of his work in Europe, offers a comprehensive view of his oeuvre through genres such as portraiture, landscape, and the nude, and includes previously unseen materials that reveal the technical and poetic dimension of an artist who placed photography at the center of modern artistic debate. Joaquín Tusquets de Cabirol. The Eloquent Form. 17.JUN.2026 - 06.SEP.2026. Joaquín Tusquets de Cabirol (Barcelona, 1904–1979), a chemist by profession and a photographer with a lucid eye, developed a body of work marked by an aesthetic sensibility cultivated in a family environment close to the arts. This exhibition, produced by Fundación Mapfre in collaboration with Fundación Photographic Social Vision, offers a unique view of post-war Catalonia through prints of extraordinary technical quality. As part of the KBr's program dedicated to Catalan photographic collections, the exhibition highlights the work of a key figure in understanding the transition to photographic modernity and the mastery of chemical printing processes.
